More printing capacity for plant pots

Greater flexibility and faster availability - Pöppelmann TEKU® expands its printing capacity for printed plant pots: By integrating an additional printing press, we are systematically expanding our printing capacity. For our customers, this means greater flexibility and even faster availability – particularly during seasonal peaks.

The system has already proven its capabilities in the demanding mass-production sector at a Dutch contract printer with a horticultural operation in the Netherlands. There, it was used for printing large quantities in up to three colours. Pöppelmann TEKU® has since further developed the system technically and installed it at its site in Lohne. By adding further inking units, we will in future be able to print plant pots in up to eight colours. This opens up new possibilities in terms of design, product differentiation and labelling.

At the same time, we are laying the groundwork to support the horticultural sector even more effectively in meeting the growing demands for printed and labelled packaging, in line with the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) and the EmpCo guideline (Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition),” confirms Sven Hoping, Division Manager at Pöppelmann TEKU®.

Further technical modifications are already planned to increase the machine’s efficiency even further.
