Compliance
For Pöppelmann, it is of particular importance that our business activities comply with legal and contractual obligations. We act in accordance with the principle of a „zero tolerance policy“ when pursuing violations of the rules.Compliance is seen as a contribution to the company's success.
In order to detect and avoid potential compliance violations, we have appointed a compliance officer and established a compliance management system. It maps the principles, measures, processes and structures that are permanently established and continuously improved as required in order to comply with laws, standards and rules and counteract systematic misconduct.
In addition, our risk management system implemented in accordance with ISO 31000 creates transparency about potential risks. Identified opportunities and risks are regularly monitored and the resulting measures are reviewed for their effectiveness.
Responsibility
We attach great importance to making a positive contribution to society and are aware of the human rights and environmental expectations of the German Supply Chain Sustainability Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LkSG). The LkSG and other supply chain laws regulate the corporate responsibility to identify and respond to human rights-related and certain environmental risks in supply chains. Various due diligence obligations are provided for this purpose. The responsibility for organization and monitoring lies with the human rights officer.
Pöppelmann has drawn up its own Code of Conduct and a Code of Conduct for suppliers. This sets out the expectations that Pöppelmann has of its employees and business partners. In addition, Pöppelmann has written down its corporate policy with the PPX strategies and thus defined values to which Pöppelmann should align its daily actions. In addition, Pöppelmann has subjected itself to conduct guidelines at the level of the German Association of the Plastics Processing Industry (GKV) and successfully completed the GKV certification process in this regard. The identified opportunities and risks are regularly reviewed and evaluated together with the management, and the measures derived from this are checked for their effectiveness. In order to prevent all possible risks, a comprehensive compliance training concept has been developed for an identified group of employees. This has been developed in collaboration with the management in order to provide our colleagues with a clear framework for action. Complaints procedure
