Over the years, the IPM in Essen has earned the reputation of being the place to be for anyone involved in the international horticultural industry: More than 1,500 exhibitors from about 45 countries are expected at the world’s leading trade fair in the Ruhr metropolis this January. The IPM encompasses the entire value chain of plant production in the fields of plants, technology, floristry and equipment. Pöppelmann TEKU® will also be represented and will not just present numerous products from Lohne to the specialist audience. "We would also like to show the trade fair visitors how to simplify their daily work processes with our innovative solutions. Our trade fair team is already looking forward to interesting technical discussions and conversations with visitors", says Arno Zerhusen, Sales Manager at Pöppelmann TEKU®.

New format, perfect utilisation of space: the PT-2528-12/5 marketing tray.

Eye-catching and space-saving: The new PT-2528-12/5 marketing trays are suitable for four 11 x 11 cm square pots or five VCG 12 round pots/MCO orchid pots with a diameter of 12 cm.

Aat this year's IPM you will be able to see the results of Pöppelmann TEKU®'s development work. This also includes the addition of a new format to the popular PT series. The PT 2528-12/5 marketing tray measures 25 x 28 cm and is suitable for four 11 x 11 cm square pots or five VCG 12 round pots/MCO orchid pots with a diameter of 12 cm. This impressive new format also sports the same distinguishing characteristics of the PT series by Pöppelmann TEKU®: The marketing trays are deeply cut out and thus have a large visible area which allows for an optimal view of printed and coloured pots. The plant pots remain genuine head-turners even on the shop shelves. The format of the trays is perfectly matched to the trolleys and utilises the area of a CC layer to its full potential when loading. The pots also fit tightly in the tray to ensure safe transport.

At the Pöppelmann TEKU® booth, trade visitors can get their own impression of the entire product range for successful self-marketing.: From marketing trays to high-quality, printed cultivation pots right through to the MDF Coverpot series – all these solutions provide a genuine competitive advantage.

Technology partnership with pot machine manufacturer Mayer.

Another novelty that our TEKU® trade fair team will be happy to report on is the cooperation between Pöppelmann TEKU® and Mayer Topfmaschinen from Heidenheim. This will bring a fusion of extensive knowledge in the field of plant pots and pot machines. Both Mayer and Pöppelmann TEKU® plan on collaborating to develop real innovations that simplify the work of growers and streamline their operational processes. Furthermore, by increasing the degree of automation, they also hope to be able to compensate for the growing labour shortage in the industry.

100 % stock reliability. Thanks to RFID technology.

100 % stock reliability: Find out more about the use of RFID technology at the IPM.

Another main topic at our exhibition stand will be the sensible use of RFID technology (radio-frequency identification) that can simplify work processes. The approach is extremely simple: The RFID system consists of a radio frequency label, the so-called transponder which is attached to the product, and a user-friendly scanner that scans each individual label. Once the label, which is attached to the tray, is paired with the scanner, it is possible to carry out a stock taking of your inventory or commissioning in real time. By recording the data in the ERP system, it is also possible to automate a goods outwards inspection. When loading the goods, they are looked up in the packing list. If goods are missing, the delivery quantity is adjusted automatically. The delivery note and invoice are created in the next and final step. No time whatsoever is wasted on stock-taking but an accurate, real-time inventory is still achieved – and always with the correct paperwork. In a nutshell: 100 % stock reliability.

If this made you curious, come and take a look for yourself at our new products, sophisticated technologies and innovative ideas for lucrative self-marketing or efficient and time-saving work processes. We are looking forward to meeting you in Hall 2, Stand 2D31.
