Lohne, May 2019. – The topic of resource conservation is the focus of the Pöppelmann Group’s appearance this year. The Pöppelmann division KAPSTO®, experts for protective elements made of plastic, presents among other things proven standard series from its product range, which are now also available in 100% recycled material. Another highlight of the Pöppelmann Group is the wide-ranging PÖPPELMANN blue® initiative, under which Pöppelmann is bundling numerous projects that are committed to a closed material loop. The initiative is an important component of the sustainability strategy of the plastics experts.
100% recycled material for proven standard series ensure more careful use of resources. The popular universal protection GPN 610 can be used as a cap or plug. It reliably seals internal threads, bores and external treads in various diameters from 4.4 to 84.5 mm. The conical shaped plastic protection bridges tolerances excellently. Tapered Closure GPN 608 with a lateral grip tab is now available in a recycled version. Both standard series are available from stock and, like the existing standard series, have been produced in the familiar KAPSTO® quality. The resource-saving alternatives of the popular standard series are manufactured from a post-consumer polyethylene (PCR-PE).
The new protective elements made of 100% recycled material represent the intensive efforts of the German plastics experts to conserve resources. Therefore, the company has specifically launched the PÖPPELMANN blue® initiative, which brings together all the activities of the Group with the aim of achieving a closed material cycle in plastics processing. Recycling experts from all business units are currently working on solutions for the resource-saving manufacture of a wide range of Pöppelmann products, e.g. protective elements, but also products for gardening and packaging
