Vibration welding – short welding cycles and high rigidity.

Vibration welding is a genuine alternative in particular when glass-fibre-reinforced polyamides have to be joined securely.

In vibration welding, two plastic parts are heated up using friction and simultaneously joined together under high pressure. The resulting weld seam is media-impermeable and boasts superb pressure stability. In addition, the joining process can be automated very well and can therefore be controlled and reproduced very well, too. Vibration welding is mainly an alternative for large components when these can no longer be welded using ultrasound.

The advantages of vibration welding at a glance:

  • High rigidity of the weld seam, even under high pressure loads.
  • Particularly suited for media-carrying components.
  • Various materials can be joined together.
  • Short welding cycles.
  • Very well-suited for large-scale welding.
  • High degree of automation / highly reproducible process.
