In order to offer our customers, partners and consumers worldwide the highest level of safety, we have been working according to recognised standards for a long time. In addition, we have now been successfully certified according to Sedex Ethics Standards and BRC Global Standards.
Hygienic and safe production of food packaging and functional parts made of plastic is a basic prerequisite for meeting the statutory requirements as well as those of consumers. With our BRC Global Standard certification for packaging and packaging materials, we meet these strict safety and quality guidelines. The BRC Global Standard was developed by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The standard ensures that plastic solutions that come into direct contact with food always meet the highest quality standards.
Even as a reliable partner of the pharmaceutical industry and medical technology for many years, we know that hygiene, accuracy of fit and process reliability have a direct effect on the efficiency of the product and thus on the safety of patients and users. Therefore, it is a matter of course for us that we apply a certified quality management system according to ISO 13485:2016, which has been tested and certified by an independent institution. This enables us to guarantee our customers safety in every respect: Both in the manufacture of universal packaging, such as tube closures, tablet tubes or dropper inserts, and in the development and production of customer-specific pharmaceutical packaging or functional parts.
We also manufacture plastic parts and assemblies with the highest standards of cleanliness at our production site in Lohne, Plant 3, under certified clean room conditions (DIN EN ISO Class 7, GMP Standard - C). Further exciting and informative insights into our quality management and clean room production can be found in our short FAMAC® competence films.
Another important aspect - at the same time also an essential component of our quality management - is the topic of sustainability: As an industrial company in the field of plastics processing, we see it as our responsibility to make products and processes as environmentally friendly and resource-saving as possible. One example of this is our new Reduce+ series, which was developed as part of the company-wide initiative PÖPPELMANN blue®, with which we aim to promote a completely closed raw material cycle. At the same time, we want to further optimize our energy use and increase our energy efficiency. For continuous improvement, we work with the energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001. In addition to the prudent and responsible use of our resources, we also promote ethical and social sustainability and in this context have been certified in accordance with Sedex Ethics Standards.
